Patient Registration Xform should allow editing new person attributes

I´m using Xforms for the patient registration in OpenMRS. The problem that I´m having is that when I want to edit the Patient Demographic Data using xforms, the platform doesn´t saves my modifications if I initially didn´t complete that field. Xforms simply doesn´t saves any changes for those fields that were blank in the initial patient registration.
