Person attributes do not display on patient search results

In OpenMRS Version: 1.8.0 Build 20843, the patient search results from the Find Patient(s) main search don't display the person attributes in the list. For example, under Listing and Viewing of Person Attribute Types, Patient Listing Attributes includes the person attribute "Tribe". But, "Tribe" is not displayed in the main find patient search results. I know the setting is working properly because tribe is displayed in the list of similar patients found when creating a new patient.
