The in-app help is really unhelpful. In late 2010 usability testing, many users attempting to click on the help link in the upper right of all OpenMRS pages and provided unfavorable feedback to the content of the help page:
"If in doubt, log out...and try again. Search openmrs.org."
The OpenMRS core application should have some basic help information about the core functionality, logging in, profile, etc. Extension points for modules should be added, so each module can contribute help to be included and linked from the main help page. It should be a priority for bundled modules to get help written for their functionality and included via these extension points.
